All Challenges Accepted!
Dr. Feather has treated some of the most difficult cases because of her interest in those with severe birth defects involving the face and teeth and those with special medical needs. She works with some of the most well respected and influential general dentists, plastic surgeons, and oral surgeons in Southern California from having treated these patients. If your case requires a multidisciplinary approach an appropriate specialty team can be assembled for you with your general dentist as the foundation.
The Damon® System provides patients with a new way of straightening teeth. While traditional orthodontic treatment often times required tooth extractions or the use of palatal expanders, Damon braces provide a faster more comfortable form of treatment using “sliding door” technology, known as self-ligation, to stratighten your teeth.
Dr. Feather is a Certified Damon System provider, who is highly skilled in using the Damon System to deliver optimal results as comfortably and as fast as possible.
No elastic or steel ties are used with Damon® brackets. This technology creates less friction and results in greater comfort for the patient. In addition, Damon® braces often reduce both treatment time and the number of adjustments that are usually performed.
Inspire Ice Braces
Unlike most ceramic brackets for braces that have metal slots to aid motility, Inspire Ice has a smooth, strong surface created by a heat process and is not metal. This is beneficial to patients who have allergies to certain metals. Additionally, it is much more comfortable for patients.
Other patients prefer these brackets because they are virtually invisible, as they are clear. This means that your doctor will not have to struggle to match your enamel shades, which will save you time and unnecessary visits to the doctor.
Ormco, the creator of Inspire Ice, has been a staple in the orthodontic community for over 40 years. They promise faster results, greater comfort, easier treatment and more positive overall satisfaction. Patients can look and feel better from the treatment’s start to finish.
Metal braces are the most common type. They are made of high-grade stainless steel. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive.
Patients have the option of using different color rubber bands on their braces to match their style of favorite sports team. You can swap the colors at each visit if desired.
If you are looking for a way to straighten your teeth, but are concerned about the appearance of metal braces, clear, ceramic braces may be right for you. Ceramic braces are made up of translucent materials that show the natural color of your teeth.
Ceramic braces can boost a person’s self-esteem and allow them to focus more on their life and not on their braces.
